ZANESVILLE, oh – The Dobbins family Christmas tradition carries on with a huge Christmas light display.

For the last 17 years, Michelle Dobbins has had no problem making spirits bright. With the help of her 82 year old father, Michelle Dobbins is blessing the community once again by sharing her Christmas lights, and the Light of Christ, in her own front yard. She calls this beautiful full acre of lights the Light in the Darkness.

“In our display we honor the Birth of Christ. Throughout our display there are things in remembrance of Him and His birth. We bring the light to the world through his light, in which he came to the world and gave to us.” Dobbins said.

On December 17th, all are invited to enjoy the Light in the Darkness on 4380 Shimoda Lane in Zanesville. Last year, over 500 people attended this dazzling event.

The event night is open to the public with no cost to admire the lights, have hot chocolate and cookies, along with a visit from Santa himself. Michelle Dobbins will be handing out gift bags, and hats and gloves to the kids.

“My favorite part is the event night.” Dobbins said. “That’s when we bring the public out, and it’s the kids and the honoring of those that is not as blessed as we are, to give back to them and to allow them to understand the meaning of Christmas, and it’s the Birth of Christ.” Dobbins stated.

The lights will be lit every evening until January 6th from 5:30 to 10 pm, making all merry and bright.
