GAME #1: Newark Catholic Green Wave vs. Grandview Heights Bobcats

COLUMBUS, OH- The Newark Catholic Green Wave and Grandview Heights Bobcats faced off at Capital University with the Division IV District Title on the line.

Cole Canter and the Green Wave started off strong as he scored two quick baskets to get the scoring started. But, it was the Bobcats responding and taking the lead early on.

But after that, it was all Newark Catholic. The size and aggressiveness of the Green Wave was simply too much for Grandview Heights. Canter, Buchanan, and the rest of the Newark Catholic supporting cast were able to score in the paint and beyond the arc with ease.

The Bobcats put up a fight but they were overpowered by the Green Wave as Newark Catholic defeated Grandview Heights 54-33 to win back-to-back district titles. Cole Canter led the Green Wave with 17 points in the win.

Up next, Newark Catholic will be facing off against the Hiland Hawks at Ohio University on March 8th.
