The Rolling Plains Church Helps Ukrainian Refugees by Hosting a Rice Pack

ZANESVILLE, OH – Approximately 200 volunteers from the Rolling Plains Church and the community came together to make a difference.
The Rolling Plains Church in Zanesville hosted a Rice Pack event today to pack roughly 70,000 rice based meals. The meals will be provided to those who are displaced by the war in Ukraine.
“I think everybody wants an opportunity to be able to give back. Everybody wants an opportunity to do something beyond themselves. In this day and age with all the challenges in our culture and society, what better way to bring people together in love and in initiative to serve God and Jesus Christ, and bless people around the world that are hungry, and displaced, and in need.” The Rolling Plains Church Pastor, John Alice said.
The church raised $20,000 to be able to purchase these meals. Each bag contains six meals making it enough food for families. With 200 helping hands and within 2 and a half hours, 70,000 meals were packed for Ukrainian refugees.
“I think my favorite part about this is the community and bringing people together for a positive message. Bringing people together to change lives and bringing people together to affect lives maybe they’ve never met around the world.” Pastor Alice stated.
Thanks to the Rolling Plains Church and all who volunteered, hearts and bellies were filled.
