The Zanesville Jaycees Held Their Annual C-Day Donation Event

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville Jaycees were out this morning going door to door collecting donations for their annual Collection Day, C-day.
Today, Jaycees estimated about 1,200 items that were donated for C-Day, which will all go towards the Salvation Army. They were also accepting monetary donations.
“Collection Day is one of the oldest traditions that our club has. It’s been going on for decades. Essentially this time of the year the Salvation Army starts to get low on supplies for those in need so we dedicate an entire day to going and collecting items that people are willing to donate in order to replenish those supplies,” Mike Walton, Secretary for the Zanesville Jaycees stated.
The mission for the Jaycees Club is to divide the city up into four sections, North, South, East and West. Once they receive a call, the assigned driver goes out to pick up the donated items from the resident and takes it straight to the Salvation Army.
“We’re always looking for new members. So, if there’s anybody that wants to get out and get active in their community and help out as much as possible, feel free to reach out to us. We’d be more than happy to answer any questions and look forward to hearing from everybody,” Walton said.
