WASHINGTON, D.C. (CNBC) – New polls show the republican race for the White House in 2016 is wide open. NBC News – Marist Polls found former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Senator Lindsey Graham all have double-digit support in at least one of the three early nominating states — Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, OHIO (WHIZ)  – The Annual Hearth Home and Away Show wrapped up Sunday at the Colony Square Mall after a successful weekend. All weekend long homeowners could stop by the mall to learn more about home improvement from one of the dozens of vendors, helping to make the planning of a home renovation much easier.

ZANESVILLE, OHIO (WHIZ) – The Zanesville Trail Riders hosted the 2015 Indoor Motorcycle Swap Meet and Bike Show at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds Sunday. The five dollar entry fee gave people access to some of the newest motorcycles, parts and accessories.

Convicted Felon Runs for Mayor of Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, OHIO (AP) – A convicted felon is one of the candidates lining up to challenge the professional comedian who’s the mayor of a southwest Ohio city. The times-gazette of Hillsboro reports that democratic candidate Steven Williams was released from prison in 2000 after serving about three years on charges that included kidnapping in a domestic-related case. Williams says his candidacy is meant to be an inspirational story in Hillsboro, a city of 6,600 people.

Car Plunges Over Cliff

BAY VILLAGE, OHIO (AP) – Police say a man was found dead in his vehicle after it plunged over a cliff along the Lake Erie shoreline in Northeast Ohio. A news release from the Cleveland suburb of Bay Village yesterday says someone called 911 shortly after 10 P.M. Saturday to report that a vehicle car had gone over a cliff at a city park.
