BOY’S GOLF

West Muskingum defeated Bishop Rosecrans in a boy’s golf action at Jaycee’s Golf Course 166-184.

The Tornadoes were led by Jack Porter who shot a 36 on the day. He was three strokes better than teammate Jacob Allen who shot a 39. Ethan Smith added a 45, while Reid Lemity shot a 46 and Landon McWhorter shot a 49.

The Bishops were led by Charlie Peterson with a 40. Weston Hartman added a 41. Scoring was rounded out by Evan Bauer with a 49 and Nathan Hart with a 54.

GIRL’S GOLF

John Glenn Girl’s Golf team took home the title in this season’s Lady Dawg Invite, which included eight teams.

37 golfers took part in the event as the Lady Muskies ended the day with a 342.

Gracie Milam was overall runner-up with a 77, Elise Abrams placed 3rd. Addy Burriss 6th and Abby McCullough 10th for John Glenn.

Crooksville’s Riley McKenzie was the first place medalist shooting a 76 on the day.

Athens finished in second place with a 384 team score.

They were followed by third place River View who shot a 418. The Lady Bears were led by Paige Nicely who shot an 88 on the day.

Fourth place when to host Tri-Valley who shot a 425. Makayla Hutchison led the Scotties with an 89.

West Muskingum was in fifth place with a score of 483. The Tornadoes were led by Chezney Wilcox with a 118.

GIRL’S TENNIS

Zanesville’s match with Groveport Madison was canceled due to weather conditions.
