Tri Valley Girls Soccer Raises Over $3,000 for The Fieldhouse Foundation

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Fieldhouse Family Fitness Center was presented a check from the Tri Valley girls soccer boosters today.
After the passing of The Fieldhouse owner Mick Amicone in May, the Tri Valley girls soccer team wanted to do something to honor him. A player designed a red shirt with one of Mick’s favorite Bible verses to sell.
“He’s been such a great friend, mentor and coach to the Tri Valley girls soccer team, along with so many other individuals, teams and kids in the area for soccer… It just really inspires the kids to be strong and courteous,” Tri Valley Girls Soccer Boosters Treasurer Melanie Klotzbach said.
After selling 305 shirts, a check of $3,320 was presented to his daughter for the Fieldhouse Foundation. She was astonished when she found out how much the boosters raised.
“He loved all athletes and these girls made such an impression on him that I feel like he’s going to get to live on through their experiences and as grateful I am for that check for the foundation, and I know dad is grateful too, I am very grateful for the relationships and the time that they gave my dad, because time is precious and that’s one thing that is irreplaceable,” Daughter Alainna Durfee said.
Shirts are still available for $20. You can email the Tri Valley girls soccer boosters at LadyDawgsSoccer@Outlook.com.
