Tri-Valley’s Lawler signs to Cincinnati, Dinan heads to Ashland

DRESDEN, Ohio – Two Tri-Valley Scotties who played important roles in leading TV to the state title game, have made their decision on where they want to play their college football.
Wednesday both Nathan Lawler and Chase Dinan signed their letters to play at the next level.
Lawler, who played through injuries all season for the Scotties will be going Division I. He’ll be walking on at the University of Cincinnati where he’ll played linebacker for Luke Fickell’s Bearcats.
“The deciding factor for where I wanted to go was I talked to Luke Fickell and the way that he runs the program, that was all I really needed to hear,” said Lawler.
Dinan, who made all-Ohio for the Scotties this fall will be heading to Division II Ashland. Dinan started out as a kicker, but over his four years in Dresden evolved into a player who excelled on all three sides of the ball. He says he’ll be used as the kicker for the Eagles and that he’s thankful for his time at Tri-Valley.
“Tri-Valley football, it has been so much fun. It’s taught us a ton both on and off the field. The experience with the big games will help with college football and experience with life,” said Dinan.
Both Lawler and Dinan were part of a Scottie program that won four MVL championships while they were there.
