United Way of MPM: Community Impact Investment Process Now More Accessible

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties are changing up the way they handle investments for local agencies.

Every year in the spring there is an allocation meeting with agencies to give them the information needed for funds. Last year, United Way decided to start an all new grants process online.

Community Impact Director for United Way of MPM Becky Clawson said, “This is a really good way for us to be more accessible to our community. We’re going to be on Facebook Live on February 25th at 2 pm to talk about everything they will need to do, what they can expect from us and what we will expect from them.”

All non-profit agencies are required to fill out the investment application and letter of intent that can be found on the United Way of MPM website.

“The process is actually fairly quick. We meet in April with our investment committee, they make recommendations to our board in May and the first check shows up in July. So once that application is turned in at the end of March, the process of it all is pretty quickly,” Clawson said.

If you are someone who is wanting to be more involved in the community or United Way, donations are accepted all year long and you can find more information on their website.
