ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Every Monday throughout the basketball season WHIZ-TV will give out a basketball player of the week honor to one area athlete, and you can vote for who you want to win!

The four candidates are listed below. To vote, visit the WHIZ Sports twitter page and click what player you think should win.

Jake McLoughlin (Tri-Valley) – The Scottie senior scored 20 points and pulled in 13 rebounds in a come from behind win over Maysville on Friday night. Tri-Valley has won five straight and is undefeated in the MVL.
Aronde Myers (Zanesville) – Myers hit a jumper at the buzzer to give Zanesville a 57-55 overtime win over previously undefeated Meadowbrook. Also scored 21 in the win.
Carver Myers (Morgan) – The Morgan freshman scored 33 points to help the Raiders overcome a 16 point deficit to beat Belpre 72-65.
Ethan Heller (Sheridan) – Dropped a game high 20 points in a win over West Muskingum. He’s averaging over 18 points per game this year and has helped lead the Generals to a 7-2 record.
