Vote for the WHIZ-TV basketball player of the week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Every Monday throughout the basketball season WHIZ-TV will give out a basketball player of the week honor to one area athlete, and you can vote for who you want to win!

The four candidates are listed below. To vote, visit the WHIZ Sports twitter page and click what player you think should win.

Cody Butler (Philo) – In Philo’s last two games Butler has scored 19 and 20 points in wins against River View and Maysville, respectivly. In the Maysville game he finished with a double-double.
Jake Mcloughlin (Tri-Valley) – The Scottie senior pulled down a school record 34 rebounds in a win over Crooksville. His Tri-Valley team is in first place in the MVL.
Trey Singleton (Meadowbrook) – Singleton scored 28 points in a Tuesday rout of Stebenville. His Colts are in second place in the ECOL.
Marty Sidwell (Morgan) – Sidwell scored 27 points to help the Raiders overcome a 10 point fourth quarter deficit to beat Maysville.

The deadline to vote is Sunday at 4 p.m.
