Westerville South’s Wesson named Mr. Basketball

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Westerville South High School’s Kaleb Wesson has been named 2017 Ohio Mr. Basketball.

The 6’10” Wesson averaged 22 points and 19 rebounds per game for the Wildcats this past year. Wesson won a state title in 2016 with Westerville South and is committed to play at Ohio State. He’ll join his brother Andre next year at OSU.

Wesson becomes the ninth player to win the award who will go to Ohio State since it was first awarded in 1988.
