Z-ville Man Pleads Not Guilty to Multiple Charges
A Zanesville man facing multiple charges including kidnapping, gross sexual imposition and robbery appeared in court Wednesday. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says 31-year-old Rex Beach appeared before Judge Mark Fleegle and pled not guilty to the charges that also included impersonating a police officer and felonious assault. Zanesville Police say on November 21st a 39-year-old male victim allowed Beach to enter his vehicle at Zane Landing Park and they drove away. Police say Beach identified himself as a police officer and ordered the victim to drive to his home where he robbed him of medication and money. Police say Beach also made lewd comments and made sexual advances. Judge Fleegle continued Beach’s bond at 250-thousand dollars. He’s being held in the city jail.
