Zane State and Primrose Retirement Community: Random Acts of Kindness Week
ZANESVILLE, OH- During these times of division and hate, it’s important to be kind and try to make someone’s day better.
Primrose residents spread the love around today at Zane State as they handed out goodie bags to college students for Random Acts of Kindness Week. Sales Director from Primrose Retirement Community Cassie Riffee said that being kind and paying it forward will help the community’s bond grow further.
“It’s just something that we like to do to give back to the communities that we are a part of and serving. We think that being kind and paying it forward just kind of helps the community bond grow a little bit further. We brought in some of our residents today to interact with our students and that just brightens up their day as well.”
Community Educator with Genesis Homecare Michelle Dougherty said that the goodie bags were filled with items that every college student can enjoy.
“Bags are filled with chips and crackers, little cups, chapstick I believe and then we had some surprise gift cards in there from Starbucks, not every gift bag had a Starbucks gift card in there so there was just some that was an extra bonus.”
Primrose also handed out treats to some students at Muskingum University as well.
