Zanesville Concert Association Prepares for March Events

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Concert Association will be wrapping up their 82nd concert season with events this Saturday and Tuesday.
Zanesville Concert Association’s Booking Agent Jim McLaughlin details what the organization has planned.
“We have two events, first on Saturday the 19th, we have the Raleigh Ringers, which is the top handbell group in the United States. They’ve performed all over the world but they come from Raleigh North Carolina,” McLaughlin said. “And we’re so excited because we have a wonderful handbell following in Zanesville and we know they are going to be thrilled about this.”
The concert association has a picture of a ballerina donated by local artist Yan Sun that will be auctioned off during intermission of the Irish Dance event with proceeds supporting the performing arts.
“On Tuesday the 22nd of March, we have Velocity Irish Dance. We’re close to St. Patrick’s Day and this will be an event for the entire family,” McLaughlin said. “It’s intergenerational. Kids and adults will love this. And we have the fastest feet in the world with the record setting member of the Irish dance group.”
McLaughlin noted that the events will be safe as Secrest Auditorium is the largest auditorium between Columbus and Wheeling, West Virginia, so it will offer plenty of seating capacity for social distancing but masks are still required.
