The Zanesville District Golf Association Hosted Golf Show

Golfshow

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Eaglesticks Golf Club hosted the Zanesville District Golf Associations annual golf show on Saturday, February 2nd.

The event took place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and provided the opportunity for those in the community to get together and have some fun. There were vendors lined up throughout the tent and fun games and activities for the family.

Z.D.G.A. Board Member Lori Bubenchik said, “We have golfers from all over the surrounding counties, including Muskingum. We have lots of vendors, lots of golf courses here, prizes everywhere you look, we have long drive contests, putt-putt contests, prize lockers that have over $2,000 worth of value. Really good prizes today.”

Some of the vendors that were set up at the event were the Zanesville Country Club, Cambridge Country Club, Wilson Golf and Titleist Golf. Bubenchik said the turnout was really good and it was nice for people to get warm inside while thinking about the spring season and golf.

“Well we think the event is for our juniors in the area,” Bubenchik said. “That’s what we’re raising money for, is for scholarships for them when they go off to college. So while it’s the adults that are here participating, they bring their juniors with them and the money goes back to them.”

Bubenchik said events like this are important to spread the word about the Z.D.G.A. and what they do as well as bringing the community together.
