Zanesville edged by Reynoldsburg, drops second-straight

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — One night after falling on the road to Dover, Zanesville dropped their second game in as many nights after being defeated 63-61 at the hands of Reynoldsburg.
After falling behind 20-9 early in the first half, Zanesville was able to find their rhythm with the help of the deep ball. They cut the Raiders lead to just five heading into the locker room thanks to the hot hand of Cobe Curry who knocked down several first-half three-pointers. Curry finished with 18 points on the night.
The Raiders stretched their lead again to as many as 10 in the second half before Marshall commit Cameron Brooks-Harris took over for the Blue Devils. Brooks-Harris knocked down three fourth quarter three-pointers, including one as time expired to minimize the final margin. Brooks-Harris lead all scorers on the night with 25.
Reynoldsburg used a balanced scoring attack in the win, with four players reaching double figures. Elijah Thurston lead the Raiders with 17 points while Tre Williams scored 16. Jamiez Goliday and Ben Fort also each added 12 for the purple and gold.
Zanesville will look to get back to their winning ways when they host Coshocton at Winland Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
