ZANESVILLE, OHIO- After raising money from their annual golf outing this past September, Jaycee’s members were paired up with a child in need and went Christmas shopping with them to buy presents for the children’s immediate family members.

On Tuesday, they had a Christmas party where they wrap all the gifts they purchased while enjoying food and refreshments.

Nick Roberts, President of the Zanesville Jaycee’s, said that this is the most rewarding event they do and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of their sponsors.

“This is the event we all look forward to every year,” said Roberts.  “This is why I became involved in the Jaycee’s, it’s an opportunity to give back to the kids.”

Caleb Moody was one of the kids helping wrap presents and he said that he is so thankful for the Jaycee’s.

“The Jaycee’s are a big help to the kids in need that have a hard time and they help a lot of people,” said Moody.  “It’s about helping people, getting presents for their families and having fun.”

The highlight of tonight’s evening was when Santa stopped by to give every child a special Christmas present for their hard work.
