Zanesville Jets fall to Jackson County

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zanesville’s semi-pro football team is still looking for their first win of the year after they fell at Maysville High School to the Jackson County Patriots 12-0.
After a scoreless first quarter a Jets fumble to start the second quarter inside their own redzone set up Jackson County’s first touchdown. With under a minute to play in the first half it looked like the Jets had scored on a long pass from Tyler Ranson to Nate Crews. However, the touchdown was nullified for an ineligible receiver down field.
The Patriots added a field goal and a safety in the second half and Zanesville never got back into the endzone with the Patriots coming out on top 12-0.
The Jets are on the road next Saturday to play the Michigan Hurricanes.
