“Zanesville Junior Pioneers Day”

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville Junior Pioneers have earned more than a championship trophy to add to the shelf after this past weekend.

On Monday night at City Council, Mayor Jeff Tilton announced a proclamation making Monday, August 8, “Zanesville Junior Pioneers Day”.

David Balo, Head Coach for the Zanesville Junior Pioneers said that he couldn’t be prouder of his players.

“It’s probably a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to be able to witness it as a coach and for the players to be able to take part in it, it truly was a magical experience,” said Balo.

Balo said that he’s never coached a closer knitted group of players and he said that they are truly one of a kind.
