Do You Want to Find Some Snowmen?

ZANESVILLE – Residents can now see snowmen around the Zanesville area. It’s part of a festive scavenger hunt.

The “Snowman Trail” features larger than life snowmen figures placed throughout the historical Putnam area. The snowmen are sponsored by local businesses and have different themes.

“Businesses have sponsored the snowman and have them decorated to meet their business. So, you can see here, at the Welcome Center we have a tourist snowman here looking for the perfect destination,” explained the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Ashley Cook. “We have other snowmen set out throughout downtown. We invite everybody to go find the snowman. There is a scavenger hunt. So, once you find the snowman write down the location and you’ll turn that sheet into Jane Church at the Welcome Center and you will get snowman soup along with some Zanesville swag.”

Cook thinks the activity is something fun that allows residents to go and check out the downtown area.

“I think, right now, this is something fun for families to get outside and do. They can do social distancing and follow all of the protocols that are needed. It’s just something fun and light-hearted to do to get outside and enjoy our area,” Cook said.

The scavenger hunt form can be found on https://www.visitzanesville.com/. Entries must be submitted by February 8th.
