Zanesville’s Brooks-Harris officially signs to play at Marshall

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Cameron Brooks-Harris said that it was a tough decision, but at the end of the day Marshall University was the right place for him to play college basketball.
In front of family and friends, the Zanesville senior officially signed on Thursday to play hoops in Huntington. He had narrowed his options down to Northern Kentucky, Akron, and Marshall.
He’ll attend on a full ride and said that Marshall seemed like the right fit for him.
“The town is a real college town. It’s kind of a small and it’s real nice there. Everything is Marshall. Everything is green, white, and black. They all love Marshall. Everybody goes back to Marshall. It’s a great place and the facilities are nice,” said Brooks-Harris.
The 6’7″ Blue Devil senior averaged 13 points per game and eight rebounds per game while starting in every contest for ZHS last season. The Thundering Herd went 20-15 last year and made it to the Conference USA championship game.
Brooks-Harris said he thinks he fits in nicely to the Marshall system.
“They just run and go and play ball. I got to play open gym with them. And actually play with them. It was great. I loved playing with them it was a lot of fun,” said Brooks-Harris.
Brooks-Harris thanked his family, friends, teammates, and coach Aaronhalt for all they’ve done for him.
