Zanesville’s Everson heading to Capital
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zanesville’s Andrew Everson narrowed his choices for college down to two Columbus area DIII rivals. In the end it was Capital who won out.
Everson signed his letter Wednesday afternoon in front of family and friends at the high school. He said the choice came down to Otterbein and Capital, but at the end of the day it was the Purple and White that won out.
“Capital was my first visit and my last visit. I thought it was the best fit for me. I love the town of Bexley. It’s a great program and great school,” said Everson.
Everson was a wide receiver and captained the 2017 Blue Devil football team. Standing in front of dozens of his team mates and friend on Wednesday he started to become reflective about his time at Zanesville.
“Being a Blue Devil is a big deal here. I got to do three different thing. Not only did I get to play football but I was in choir and drama club,” said Everson.
Everson will be one of three former Blue Deivls on the Crusader roster. He’ll join QB Thomas Wibbeler and WR Dartavious Stanford.
