ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Bidding for Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project’s Foot By Foot Auction is in its final few days!

Artwork by various local artists, created within a one square foot canvas with an array of mediums, have been on display the entire month and bidding kicked off at August’s First Friday Art Walk.

Foot By Foot raises money for both the artists who create the unique works and the ZAAP Gallery, which allows artwork to continue being created and ZAPP to continue showcasing local talent.

RoseMary Ludt, the gallery director says this event helps give recognition to some of the talented artists throughout the community while giving back as well.

“We have 70 pieces of art., provided by many artists. Some are members of ZAAP and some are community local artists and they all do this to support ZAAP and also they get a little bit of money and recognition themselves,” Ludt told us.

The auction ends with a closing party and an opportunity to get your final bids in, this Saturday, August 27th from % to 8 PM at the ZAAP Gallery located downtown at 625 Main Street

Ludt says there is plenty of fun to be had at the party.

“We have Bill Stoneburner as the musician, David Mitzel is providing quite a bit of the food and drink and we hope to have a really nice time,” she said.
