ZMHA Hosts Open House at Coopermill Manor

The Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority (ZMHA) held an open house at the James D. Singer Activity Center to showcase the progress on the renovations at Coopermill Manor.
Coopermill Manor is an affordable housing complex that’s been around in Zanesville for around 75 years. Â The renovation project began last November and is expected to be completed by April 2017.
Steve Randles, Executive Director at ZMHA said that these units were long overdue for a renovation and so was the community.
“The biggest challenge and what we hope to achieve here is to keep 324 units of housing available for folks in this community that really need affordably priced housing. Â Thats the real goal,” said Randles.
Randles said that through this construction process that they have built many vacancies through Coopermill and now they are looking for applicants once construction is completed.
“We are in need of applicants, qualified applicants to reside in these units. Â So we are encouraging everybody that if they know somebody or if they themselves are in need of housing to fill out an application.”
To get an application, you can visit the ZMHA Administrative Office at 407 Pershing Rd in Zanesville from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Monday through Friday.
