ZPD investigates vandalism at American Legion

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a case of vandalism at the American Legion Post 29 on 3rd street.

It happened sometime late Saturday night.

Police said a ceramic statue of a bald eagle that was donated to the Legion was damaged along with a plastic privacy fence.

The damage to the fence is estimated to be around $500.

Authorities said a person has been charged in connection with the incident and is awaiting a court hearing.
