ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The 16th annual Y-Bridge Arts Festival will take place this Friday and Saturday at the OUZ, Zane State Campus located on Newark Road.

Y-Bridge Arts Festival Committee Member Erin Cole says the admission free event will have something for everyone with activities and events taking place both indoors and out.

“We have great children’s activities. So if you would like to immerse your children in art, we have two different opportunities. We’re so pleased that our Zanesville Museum of Art is the sponsor of one of our booths and it’s all free. And Faith Cornell has a nonprofit called Good City Creatives, and she’s doing a whole ‘nother lineup and it’s extensive. Both of them are extensive. So let’s bring our young people out and get them immersed in some art. For free,” Cole said.

Attendees can expect to see beautiful art and expert craftsmanship on display as the atmosphere will be filled with the sounds of live music and delicious aromas from the various food vendors that will be there as well.

“We have jewelry makers, we have painters, we have fiber artists, we have wood workers,” Cole said. “And some of our 60 vendors have double booths. So it’s just a lot of art. And I really want to ask people when they come out to support the festival, not just to come out and look, we really want you to purchase a piece of art to support our artists. So I want you to walk around your house, look where you might have a spot, measure it, bring the measurements and buy a piece of art. Because that’s what really supports our festival.”

Cole recommends music goers bring their friends and their chairs to best experience the long list of local performers who will be performing throughout the two day festival. For further details about the vendors, activities and musical lineup, you can visit artcoz.org.
