Farmer’s Market This Saturday At The Muskingum County Fair Grounds

Farmers Market 1 825x510

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Farmer’s Market will be back in full swing Saturday morning at the Muskingum County Fair Grounds.

This weekly event will consist of local vendors selling a wide
variety of veggies, meats, cheese and more.  Farmer’s Market Board
Member, Becky Clawson says it is a great opportunity to get fresh local
produce and help out the community.

Clawson said “So you will see some Swiss chard,  some spinach,
asparagus, maybe even some radishes coming your way, right here at the
market, already starting for our first week. You will also see many
pasture raised meats, local eggs, local honey.”

Clawson says that there is also a new vendor in town that will be
selling locally made maple and hickory syrup. Clawson says it is a great
opportunity to support your local economy. She also says it is much
healthier to eat food that is grown locally

“So when you support a local market, you’re supporting your
neighbors, your friends.  You’re paying for a farmer’s daughter to go to
ballet lessons. You’re helping to support a kid in scouting locally.
You’re helping to support those local families who live right here in
our neighborhoods and in our county, so that is the first and most
important thing. Just support your local economy,” said Clawson.

The Farmer’s Market is at the Muskingum County Fair Grounds Saturday at 9 AM till 12:00 PM.
