Farmers Market Transitioning to New Seasonal Location

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The time is coming soon for vendors at the Zanesville Farmer’s Market to move on from the Muskingum Co. Fairgrounds.

Vendors will be packing up and moving to the event room at Weasel Boy Brewing Company.

“Tomorrow is our last day at the fairgrounds for the season. We won’t be back here until next spring & summer. We are moving to Weasel Boy for what we call our Fall Market. We will be there from Nov. 2 through Dec. 7. This brings a chance for the farmers to sell some of the produce they have growing for the end of the season and it gives customers some place to go to get some items for the fall,” says Misty Josselyn, Manager of the Farmer’s Market.

The change allows for the Farmer’s Market to continue this year for just over one more month before Winter sets in.

“Our contract here is up in October. We generally only go through the end of October at the fairgrounds. So this is something we started a couple of years ago, moving to Weasel Boy for the farm market. It gives the customers and opportunity to have a little longer to buy produce, to buy some fresh produce. It gives you an opportunity to get ready for the holiday season. We have a lot of craft vendors, as well as our produce & meat vendors. It just gives you an opportunity, a little longer, to buy some stuff for the farmer’s market.”

In years past, the Farmer’s Market has picked up again in early March.
