ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum Branch of the Ohio Means Jobs initiative is holding a virtual job fair on July 30th.

The fair is open to anyone who registers and will have employers from Muskingum, Licking, Guernsey and Coshocton counties. Supervisor Julie Metzger has more on the event.

“When I say virtual job fair what I mean by that is there will be a platform online where employers are going in as we speak and they’re building their booth. Job seekers are now able to go on and get registered. They can go to muskingumcountyJFS.com, click on the Ohio Means Jobs tab, and register for the virtual job fair as a job seeker.”

Job seekers are encouraged to have their resume ready to submit along with their registration. Metzger has high hopes that new avenues for employment will be found at the virtual fair for Muskingum County citizens.

“The unemployment is kinda leveling off now, however there are a lot of folks that for whatever reason their companies are not going to reopen or they’ve downsized and cut positions. What that’s done is open up the job market for other employers who are hiring and so there are a variety of positions out there.”

Metzger is hoping for a successful virtual fair so the branch can have more of its kind in the future.
