A Licking County based company is one of eight projects in the state set to create a combined 1,884 new jobs and retain 838 jobs statewide.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced the Behr Process Corporation expects to create 90 full-time positions, generating $4.4 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Heath.

Behr supplies architectural paint and exterior wood care products to the U.S. and Canadian DIY markets.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 1.380 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Collectively, the eight projects are expected to result in more than $129 million in new payroll and spur more than $1 billion in investments across Ohio.
