North Valley Bank to Host Shred and Donation Day
ZANESVILLE, OH – North Valley Bank is not only giving the community an opportunity to shred some of their old personal documents, but to also help out a good cause.
North Valley Bank will be hosting a Community Shred Day this Saturday from 9 am to Noon.
In addition to collecting and shredding old documents and papers, North Valley will also be collecting much needed items for the Animal Shelter Society.
Amanda Havidich, the Muskingum County Market Leader at North Valley Bank, said it’s important to get rid of those old documents because of the rise of identity theft.
“Any old documents that they’d like to get rid of, that are just kind of laying around,” Havidich said. “With identity theft and things like that, we’re just trying to get those out of their way and make sure that they’re safely disposed of.”
April Gibson, the Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, said some of the items they are in most need of are liquid laundry detergent and regular, non-splash less bleach. She explained that the splash less and scented bleaches contain less of the cleaning agent that’s needed to help clean the Shelter.
“We’re in dire need of liquid laundry detergent because we do 28 to 30 loads of laundry a day,” Gibson said. “That’s something that when I go out to speak to assisted living and the schools and they say they can’t believe we’re doing that much laundry, and we do. We really have a lot of responsibilities to take care of these animals who did not ask to be here.”
The Community Shred Day and Donation event will take place at the North Valley Bank in South Zanesville, across from Rural King.
