Remembering Andy Quinn: Fifth Annual Andy Jam music festival honors legacy

ZANESVILLE, OH- This Saturday, May 18, The Barn will be hosting the fifth annual Andy Jam music festival, benefiting the Andy Quinn Memorial Fun for the Zane State Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
Andy Jam is an event held in memory of Andy Quinn, an aspiring police officer who passed away at the age of 31 from a viral infection in 2019. The event is happening in conjunction with Police Week and will have an exciting lineup of live music and raffles.
“He had that personality where he wanted to help people, and the people came out of the wood work when he passed away to tell me about times when they were really down and would sit with them for hours and let them talk out what was bothering them and try to give them a different perspective, that’s the kind of person he was and those are the qualities you look for in a law enforcement officer,” Father of Andy and the Event Organizer, Paul Quinn said.
The music schedule kicks off with Late Horizon at 1 p.m., followed by 50 Years After, Lock 17, Donnelly and Quinn, and finishing with Git Shorty from 7 to 11 p.m.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to come down and support the local law enforcement, folks that are going through that program out at Zane State, and the future of our law enforcement, it’s also a great opportunity to come and hear some amazing live music, have some great food and great drinks, and support that cause through the donations and the raffles and all the different things that we will have going on, but it’s going to be a lot of fun,” The Barn Owner Jim Watson said.
They plan to host the sixth annual Andy Jam in May of 2025. For more information visit the Andy Jam 5 at The Barn event page on Facebook.
