Local Churches Serve Up Food to Fund Missions at Muskingum County Fair
ZANESVILLE, OH – As the Muskingum County Fair continues to delight visitors, two local churches are adding to the experience with their food offerings.
Rolling Plains Church and Unity Church of The Nazarene both have food stands that are quickly becoming must-visit spots for fairgoers. Unity Church of The Nazarene is serving up their beloved dishes from grilled cheese to hotdogs, prepared with care by a team of dedicated workers. The Rolling Plains Church is also making a big impact with their top selling menu items.
“We sell various sandwiches, BBQ, chicken, hot dogs, sloppy joes, and we do pies. We have fruit cups, salads, and we have drinks,” Paul Law, from Rolling Plains Church, said.
These churches are doing more than just feeding hungry fairgoers. The funds raised are crucial in helping the churches with their meaningful missions to help the community.
“Everything that we earn here goes to missions. We help the community. If we have people that need help with their utility bills, or, we give out gas cards sometimes. It depends on what the need is. We don’t put anything into our general operating at the church. This all goes to help our community. We give out Thanksgiving baskets at Thanksgiving time. We really love being here and helping the people. We pray with people, we’re here for people if they need us, and we really enjoy being here,” Unity Church of the Nazarene Pastor, Jamie West said.
