Treena was a force to be reckoned with, a fighter in every sense. She won her battle with stage IV small-cell lung cancer on her terms, showing strength and resilience that inspired everyone around her. Treena was an accomplished x-ray technician who proudly served at Fairfield Medical Center and other organizations throughout her career. She was also a clinical instructor, known for her tough love approach that pushed her students to achieve their best.
However, Treena’s proudest legacy was her children and grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, and the person who would always show up when times were hard. Known for her fiery spirit and determination, Treena thrived on proving others wrong, always rising to challenges with grit and grace. If you told her she could not do something, she’d do it anyway—and succeed.
Treena had a knack for bringing humor and lightness to life, with signature phrases like “Dang Gina,” “Dora,” “Hold please,” “Cheese and rice,” and “Put your big girl panties on,” which will live on in the memories of those who knew her.
Treena’s outlook on life was famously summed up by a sign that hung in her home:
“Skidding into heaven, body thoroughly used up, chocolate in one hand, Jameson in the other, screaming, “Woohoo, what a ride!”
She will be missed dearly and leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and generosity that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
