Maryland Man Changes Plea During Trial

Muskingum County-A Maryland man on trial in Muskingum County changed his plea during his trial, admitting his guilt.

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office said 22-year-old Bryden Bibbins, of Snow Hill, Maryland was charged with two counts of trafficking Fentanyl with a machine gun specification.

Authorities said on August 30, Deputy Blake Browning was patrolling the West Pike, when he saw a car fail to signal when turning and pulled the vehicle over.

The car was driven by Antonio Collins, of Salisbury, Maryland and included passengers Jorge Luis Rosa Perez, of Florida, Marcus Lloyd of Missouri and Bibbins.

A search of the vehicle uncovered 1,800 pills made to look like Percocet, but were really Fentanyl.

Detectives found Bibbins was paying Collins to drive him and three people from Maryland to Columbus to buy pills and bricks to resell in Maryland.

Perez pleaded guilty to felony trafficking in a Fentanyl related compound, with multiple specifications. He could face up to 31 years in prison.

Lloyd pleaded guilty to multiple counts of felony trafficking., each with several specifications. He could face up to 23 years in prison.

Collins pleaded guilty to attempted trafficking in a Fentanyl related compound, with multiple specifications. He faces a sentence of up to eight years in prison.
