ZPD puts donated trailer to use

ZANESVILLE, OHIO-Â Earlier this year, The Zanesville Police Department received a trailer from White Castle.
White House originally used the trailer as a hazardous material trailer, but then had no use for it, so they graciously donated it to the police department.
Chief Kenneth Miller, Zanesville Police Department, said that they have been spending a lot of time equipping the trailer with essential tools so that they can put it to work.
“We’re going to use this as our meth lab clean up trailer,” said Miller. Â “I have three officers that are currently trained on cleaning up meth labs. Â This will contain all of the equipment that they need to respond to any meth lab.”
In the past, the police department had to work out of a small, 5 by 8 foot trailer, that essentially just big enough to hold all of the equipment. Â Chief Miller said that this new trailer gives his officers more room to work.
“It gives them space to haul the equipment they need and it also has enough room for them to go in there and work.”
Chief Miller said that he’s thankful for White Castle stepping forward and donating the trailer to the department.
