Tornado Confirmed in Guernsey County

The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh confirmed that a tornado occurred in Guernsey County from the storms on the night of September 9th, 2026. This is Guernsey County’s 13th tornado, and the last one was an EF1 on 4/2/2024.

According to a preliminary damage survey report, the tornado was rated an EF0, with estimated peak winds of 85 mph. It began at 9:34 PM, 3 miles east-northeast of New Concord, and ended at 9:37 PM, 3 miles west-southwest of Cambridge. The tornado had a path length of 1.14 miles and a path width of 50 yards, damaging trees, buildings, and properties. There were no injuries or fatalities.
