DRESDEN, OHIO- The 12th annual farm show wrapped up on Sunday after having a weekend of fun-filled activities for the community.

The farm show featured all types of working antique farm equipment and construction equipment.

We met with Keith Anthony who helps out with the sawmill display.  Anthony said that their mission is to help preserve old machinery and educate the younger generation on how things were done in the past.

“A lot of this was used on farms, a lot was used in the industry,” Anthony.  “The whole point of this event is to preserve this and introduce children and other people who have never been around to see these machines work.”

Anthony said that they try to operate as much as they can so people can get a hands on experience with the antique equipment.

He said that he’s been working on the sawmill display for a couple of years.  “It’s been about a five-year project getting it going, but we finally go it to where we can cut wood and it’s one of the displays here.”

The sawmill that Anthony used is over a hundred years and he’s excited to have it finally up and running.

Anthony said that he is thankful for the Moore family for putting on this event and he hopes that the event continues to grow in the years to come.
