Tri-Valley Grad LaCrone Gives Back to Scotties Soccer Community

DRESDEN, OH – Local high school soccer teams are now up and practicing with the first kick coming up on Friday, August 15th.

Over at the Tri-Valley soccer fields, there is a little extra twist before the season officially gets under way.

Wolford Park in Dresden has a newly named complex that you cannot miss, with a brand new name overhead: it now reads” LaCrone Soccer Complex”.

A generous donor, and former Scottie helped with improvements to the field, facilities, and of course the beautiful gated entrance.

2005 graduate Kolby LaCrone kicked off his career at Tri-Valley before competing at the Division One collegiate and professional levels. Now, he is ready to give back to the community where he holds the greatest of memories.

“This was a major impact in my live when I was here as a player, and for my friends and family” says LaCrone. “All of our memories are right here.”

LaCrone would add that he wans to make the new complex a better place for future generations, and to develop memories for those that come after.

Varsity girls soccer coach Emily Reilly added, “There’s a lot of people, who maybe are not sitting in the stands cheering them on every day, but they are backing them (Tri-Valley players), and they do believe in what they are here to do every day.”

The complex will see its first action when the girls varsity team hosts West Holmes on Saturday, August 16th.

The boys team opens up at home against defending state champion River View on Tuesday, August 19th.
