Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival Culinary Challenge returns to support Ohio’s oldest arts and crafts festival

ZANESVILLE, OH- Cambridge’s oldest arts tradition is getting a flavorful fundraising twist this February as local chefs and community members come together for a night that blends food and fun.
The 3rd Annual Salt Fork Festival Culinary Challenge takes place , from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Country Club. The event serves as the largest fundraiser for the Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival, the oldest arts and crafts festival in Ohio. About 16 chefs from local businesses, civic organizations, and around the community will compete across several categories, including main dishes, sides, appetizers, and desserts.
“The winner will be chosen by three celebrity judges, which includes Mayor Tom Orr from the city of Cambridge, Ross Love from King Karpet, and Meliah Moore of R and R and Consulting, so she is a professional chef, so we’re bringing out the professionals for this,” said Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival Board President, Stephanie Bridwell.
In addition to the judged categories, attendees will vote for a People’s Choice winner. The Mardi Gras themed evening will also feature a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and other activities, all supporting a festival that draws artists from across the Midwest and highlights a strong student art program each summer.
“We’re just really lucky to have so much community support and so many people who will come together and help us raise money for this festival, it’s just the volunteerism is just amazing, and we so appreciate the support from the community,” said Bridwell.
Tickets are required for the culinary event and are available on the Salt Fork Arts and Crafts Festival Facebook page. The festival itself is held annually on the second weekend in August at the Cambridge City Park.
