Spaghetti Dinner in Memory of Anastasia Zink

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – First responders in a fatal accident combine their efforts with employees of Tumbleweed Tex Mex Grill to support the family effected.
Six-year-old Anastasia Zink passed away on January 11, 2017 when her mother 27-year-old Stephanie Williams lost control of her vehicle due to icy roadways and rolled down an 85 feet embankment off of Fultonrose road.
Williams’ co-workers and friends are now holding a spaghetti dinner with one of the first respondent groups at the accident, Newton Township Fire Department. Chelsey Kelly who is a co-worker of Stephanie Williams said the money raised at the spaghetti dinner helps Williams transition and care for her eight-year-old daughter Ella Zink.

“[Stephanie Williams] is just trying to get things as stable as she can right now,” Kelly said. “We’re trying to just take as much pressure off of her. Of course there’s medical bills and she’s obviously going to need a new car. She’s a single mom, she goes to school full-time, works full-time. So we just want to make this transition as easy as we can.”
Plans for the spaghetti dinner started when Newton Township Fire Department contacted some Tumbleweed employees who are co-workers of Williams and asked what they could do to help Anastasia Zink’s family.
“A lot of them are coming in to donate their time, their money, and energy,” Kelly said. “We’ve already had so much support from them to begin with.”
“We were the first responders to that accident and obviously we can understand that, that has a profound effect on a family,” Captain Chas Cosgrave said. “That even had an effect on our responders. So for us the call does not end when we leave the scene, we want to pitch in and help in any way that we can.”
The spaghetti dinner will be Sunday February 26, 2017 at Newton Township Fire Department from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. They’ll have a full meal, bake sale, face painting, silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle. Admissions for adults are $7.00, and $4.00 for children under ten, children younger than three can get in for free.
Cosgrave said this will be a good thing in our community for a great cause and he thinks everyone will enjoy the event.
“It’s the benefit of a small community, we all know each other,” Cosgrave said. “When things like this happen, we’re all effected. So we just want to do what we can.”
