Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Dog of the Week; Meet Mr. Rogers!
ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Dog of the Week is asking one simple question, won’t you be his neighbor?
Meet Mr. Rogers! He’s an 8-year-old terrier mix who’s neutered, keeps a clean kennel, and is searching for some friends to head into the world of “Make Believe” with.
Doug McQuaid, a Volunteer the K-9 Adoption Center, says Mr. Rogers came to them as a stray but has made friends with everyone he meets, does well with other dogs, and even knows some tricks.
“He’s just a great boy.” McQuaid said. “He knows many commands, he’ll even speak when taking a treat, walks well on a leash, we found out he even snores while he’s asleep, so he might wake you up!”
The K-9 Adoption Center knows that summer is a time for fun and memories but it also means loud celebrations with fireworks that could scare our furry friends.
To help families reunite with lost pets, the Adoption Center will be having a microchip event kicking off on Friday, July 31st.
“We will be having a microchip event next Friday, July 31st, from 5 to 8PM.” McQuaid said, “You’ll want to watch our Facebook page for more information and we’ll give you everything that’s happening with that.”
