Lily Besser

Lily L. Besser, 90, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, at Cedar Hill Care Center.
She was born on March 17, 1936, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Clelie A. Cornell and Pearl M. Hayhurst. Lily worked for Art Mastrilli and at Goodwill Industries for many years. She was a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Church in Zanesville. She enjoyed working on puzzles and helping at the Senior Center.
Lily is survived by her 2 sisters: Christine Ore and Phyllis “Sue” Work; 3 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Lily is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Besser; 3 children: Stephen Langley, Sharon Epie, and Pamela Langley; 3 brothers: James Cornell, Howard Cornell, and Albert Cornell; and sister, Evelyn Cornell.
A dignified has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Lily will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Zanesville, Ohio with her husband.
