On the Fly with Aniyah and Shy: Building a Better Butter Cow

The Ohio State Fair unveiled an annual tradition on Tuesday, the 2026 Butter Cow Sculpture.

This year’s theme celebrates America’s 250th anniversary.

The display features a butter cow and calf, a bald eagle, the American and Ohio Flags, the Statue of Liberty, and Ohio’s “American 250” sign, all sculpted from butter.

In honor of the fair, WHIZ’s Aniyah Hart and Shylin Costello tried their hand at making their own butter cows.
