24th Annual Perry County Gun Bash Happening this Weekend

Annual Gun Bash At The Perry County Fairgrounds

NEW LEXINGTON, OH – The Perry County Gun Bash is returning to the Fairgrounds this Saturday.

From Noon until 8PM, the fair grounds will be busy with raffles, ticket pulls, sales, and the community coming together.

Richie Boring, the President of the Perry County Agriculture Society, says the Gun Bash was started 24 years ago to help pay for a new building at the Fair Grounds and has become a tradition ever since.

“It works good, I think, a lot of people come down just to see each other and you know.” Boring said. “You buy a ticket and you get a dollar beer all day so.”

There will be over $40,000 in cash given away, with a give away happening about every 5 minutes once the Gun Bash gets started.

Boring says it’s the people who keep coming back that make it the big success that it is.

“We like it.” Boring said. “I think everybody is excited about it, it’s something that. Our fair is the third week in July, so you get the fair over with and then you roll right into starting this.”

Tickets for the Gun Bash are currently $75 per ticket and can be purchased by heading to their website.

Ticket prices will go up to $100 the day of the Gun Bash.
