Charity golf outing for mission trip

NASHPORT, Ohio- A local church and golf course are partnering together to help flood victims in West Virginia.

Cornerstone Full Gospel Church is asking for people to come play in a golf outing at Vista Golf Course. The proceeds will benefit the church’s mission trip to West Virginia.

“A lot of people think of Houston, Texas, and Puerto Rico because of the hurricanes. Two years ago, in 2016, West Virginia suffered the horrible flooding and they’re still trying to recover, so we’re just going to our neighbors of the south,” said administrator Tim Alexander.

Alexander said entrance fee is $200 and there will be plenty of cash and door prizes. General Manager of the Vista Golf Course, Casey Lepi said there will be contests such as closest to the pin and longest drive.

“We want to make sure that everybody is here to help with this goal to help West Virginia to get out of their flooding,” said Lepi.

The Golf Outing will be Saturday, May 12th. Registration starts at 8 A.M. and tees off time starts at 9 A.M.
