The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency says I-70
Westbound in Muskingum County was down to one lane after a semi accident resulted in a fuel spill.

EMA director Jeff Jadwin says it happened around 3:00 p.m. near Hopewell School.  Jadwin says about 100 gallons of diesel fuel spilled and traffic was backed up a few miles.

Jadwin says if you are planning a trip to Columbus get off at the 152 exit onto US 40 then back on I-70 at Brownsville.

Even though one lane of traffic is open its moving very slow, according to Jadwin.  No word on how long it will take to clean up the fuel spill.
