Accident involving a bicyclist and a fire truck

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Police Department responded to an accident involving a bicyclist and a fire truck Monday afternoon.

Lieutenant Shilling said a Zanesville fire truck was heading to an emergency southbound on Putnam Avenue when a male riding his bicycle ran into the side of the truck.

The fire truck was turning right onto Harrison Street when the bicyclist was riding off of the sidewalk at the same time and caused them to collide.

He was transported to Genesis Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
