Fatal stabbing in Newark

NEWARK, Ohio–The Newark Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing.

On Tuesday, October 30,  at approximately 5:42 PM , officers were dispatched to the apartments located at 1720 King Road on a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers found 35-year-old Theodore E. Collins with a possible stab wound.

Officers immediately began treating Collins but he succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives interviewed approximately a dozen witnesses to the events leading to the death of Collins. The incident remains under investigation.
